Windy Escape was purchased in December 2016 by the present owners and has been meticulously furnished and decorated with YOU in mind! The owners recently retired and had been looking for vacation property in Texas for a few years and discovered that they were thinking more and more about their previous vacation stays in Surfside Beach and how much they enjoyed it. Unique Benefits

Windy Escape is a beautiful beach house rental located in the quiet village of Surfside Beach, Texas and is just 2 blocks from the beach! The rooms are very spacious as is the double lot and there is plenty of room for Volleyball, Horseshoes, etc. on your breaks from playing in the surf. The home consists of 3 large bedrooms and 2 baths with an open concept living area and lots of custom touches. There is a huge main deck (and a private upper deck) where you can enjoy sunrises and sunsets while enjoying the gorgeous beach and jetty views. Watch the big ships and tugboats traveling on the Intercoastal Waterway while sipping your morning coffee. After breakfast, take a short walk or jog to the beach (2 blocks) or to the nature trail (1 block) for a little bird watching and fishing! Next, you can walk down the Jetties and talk to the local fisherman and see the dolphins playing in the ocean just yards from where you are standing! In the afternoon, Jetty Park is just 1½ blocks away and has volleyball courts and a playground. Or, you can sit on either of the 2 decks, in the romantic porch swing or slumber in the hammock after playing in the beach. Don’t forget to watch the gorgeous sunsets! In the evening, grill up your fresh fish, enjoy a nice beverage on the decks, watch the stars or take a moonlight stroll on the beach! If you want stay indoors, you can watch TV on any of the 3 large flat screen TV’s, play games, read books, do puzzles or cook in the fully equipped kitchen. There are plenty of places to eat in Surfside Beach from tacos to burgers to the finest fresh catches of the day! There are several restaurants with entertainment on the island or you can drive about 30 minutes to Lake Jackson to the movie theater, Brazos Mall or any number of places you would like to visit. If you need even more entertainment, Galveston is just 50 minutes away and Houston is 60 minutes away. But…once you drive “Across Surfside Bridge, you may never want to leave"!

The house was perfect for us. Very clean and nice. The decor is perfect for a beach house. Views were amazing and the beach was gorgeous! Sandy, the owner, is very helpful and immediately responded to me every time! You can not go wrong booking here! We hated to leave because the beach house and beach was perfect. We also got to see dolphins, crabs, and a scary jellyfish! We will definitely return! Did I mention clean? Clean is important!

Windy Escape was the perfect vacation cottage! Immaculate, very comfortably furnished with an open living area great for family time, beautiful porches, a laundry room, and all the kitchenware you could possibly need. The furniture is very nice and the beds were so comfortable. It felt much more like a home-away-from-home than a rental. Sandy has gone above and beyond, and not just the house -- she is always available with tips about the area and is extremely responsive, friendly, and kind. The views are beyond amazing, and it's just a short walk to the beach and to the jetty. Within 24 hours, I felt so relaxed that I wished I could stay forever. Highest recommendation. Go there now!

We love going to Surfside for the Saint Patrick’s Parade we have such a great time! The house is amazing right on the parade route. You could not ask for a more beautiful home with such an amazing view. Thank you Sandy for always being such awesome host. Can’t wait for March 2020 to rent your home again for the 3rd year.
