We provide all necessary linens, towels and even special towels for your hair! What some say is our best feature is the heated toilet seat! Additionally all beds have heated mattress pads and blankets - no excuse to be chilly when at The Denmark Stage Stop House.

I am from outside Boston, MA and decided to move to Denmark, Maine for great open pastures for my horse and the beauty of the Lakes Regions of Maine.

Denmark, Maine is small rural town in Maine with a year round population of only 1,000 people, give or take. It has the charm of small town New England, which we would like to share with you. This is a great area for year-round fun! Summer offers lakes, ponds & rivers with spots to swim, kayak, canoe or go tubing down the Saco River. Great hiking surrounds us and just 5 miles away is Pleasant Mountain in Bridgton Maine which has great hiking trails and Shawnee Peak for great winter skiing and snowboarding.
Rural Maine experience yet close to so much. If you love ice cream - The Denmark Stage Stop cannot be beat as we have an ice cream shop right on site and all our guests get a complementary ice cream treat daily. We serve Annabelle's Ice Cream which is a favorite of everyone once you try it!

As I mentioned before my property is on a beautiful and well maintained equestrian estate with many gardens blooming throughout the summer and early fall.
When our guests arrive you will find we have left you some goodies to get you started including cereal varieties, including oatmeal, farm fresh eggs, English muffins, butter, milk, cheese/cracker, fruit, microwavable popcorn along with various other snacks. If you arrive prior to 9:00 PM you can also get your first ice cream treat of your stay from Memorial Day to Labor Day. There is even waffle/pancake mix for you to use with our convenient waffle/pancake/omelet maker.
During the colder months and ski season we even provide all our bathrooms in our units with heated toilet seats, heated mattress pads and blankets - and yes, of course the unit is heated!
For all you skiers we are only 5 miles from Shawnee Peak Ski and Snowboarding Resort in Bridgton, Maine.
