My husband and I stay for two weeks and as I sit in my study and dream of our vacation I remember how this was the most relaxing, perfect spot. The back gallery directly on the water. Super snorkeling from the back steps, walk to Rainbow Beach or Fredricksted (or swim) and great swimming, sea glass collecting, wonderful easy restaurants and shopping close by. Everything we needed in the house for a perfect getaway. The grocery stores were close by and we cooked breakfast, lunch and most dinners in the house. Saved money that you didn't have to eat out all the time. Short drive to the botanical garden, the sugar mill, Cane Bay, the rainforest and easy drive to Christiansted to catch the boat to Buck Island. We really had the best time at Sojourn's End and we have been to St. Croix five times. Will definitely stay again when we return. All your needs are met and exceeded. The weather was great, we saw rainbows and dolphins, and the green flash off the gallery too. I dream of our last trip there and our return. Great place for sure.
I found Sojourns End to be a fantastic respite from work! In fact, I sent pictures entitled "My New Office" to my workplace showing my feet resting on the gallery wall as I looked out to sea! If you want (need) a break from your everyday life you would love it here! The house is set up with everything you need to enjoy your stay. It isn't far from several wonderful restaurants and activities in Fredericksted. You have Rhythms at Rainbow Beach where you can jet ski among other things. The Lost Dog Pub is a fun, eclectic place to raise a few with your fellow patrons and enjoy great food at the same time! While here, we went to Point Udall, the most eastern point in the United States. We rode a boat across the water to an island in Christiansted and enjoyed a barbeque while watching the Mocko Jumbie dance and a firewalker do his thing. We also went to the Cruzan Rum Distillery where we had a great tour with a girl named Abby that made you just want to buy bottles and bottles of rum, which my wife did, by the way! Sojourns End was a wonderful place to spend the whole day or to go back to after a great day out on the island! You won't be disappoited if you stay here! The owners have thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable so come on down and start your rest in paradise!
My husband and I stayed here for 10 days right before Christmas so we got to experience the holiday decorations and festivities! We spent a lot of time at Sojourns End just enjoying the back gallery and the sea. The beach is private and beautiful! We snorkled and saw fish and sea life that we surely wouldn't have seen in Texas! On our journeys into Fredericksted we went to the pier to see the turtles, have lunch at the Yum Yum Cafe (and it was!), ate dinner at Turtles After Dark and The Lost Dog Pub and shopped at an open craft market, as well as all of the local stores. Rhythms at Rainbow Beach was just a short walk down the road from the house and it had great food also! You can scuba dive, snorkel, take a trip into the rain forest, go to the Whim Plantation, visit point Udall and shop to your hearts content in Christiansted! I found a cute little jewelry store called "IB Designs" where I bought some beautiful bracelets for my daughters and I! We stopped and ate at Angry Nates after walking around the grounds of the fort and the Government Customs House. And we rode across the harbor to Protestant Cay for dinner and an outdoor show which was very enjoyable! There is no end to the things to see and do on St. Croix and Sojourns End is a terrific place to head back to after your day out. The owners have though of everything you might need to enjoy your stay and even left us a little gift to use while we were there or to take home with us. You will love it at Sojourns End!! It is booking up quickly so you had better hurry up! :)
This was my first experience visiting St Croix and it was incredible. We have usually stayed in hotels on vacation, but this time we were lucky enough to get this house right on the beach. The house had everything we could have asked for. Clean linens, large beds, comfortable couches! Washer and dryer allowed us to pack less while we were travelling. AC in the bedrooms was great, and you can hear the gentle waves coming in at night while you drift off to sleep. Screen doors on both the front and back of the house allowed for a cross breeze to keep the house from getting stuffy from humidity. The gallery out back faces the beach has a few patio chairs so you can sit out and enjoy the view and ocean breeze. Or you can step right out onto the beach to enjoy the sun or shade from the palms. I can't wait to go back in a few months! This place is just down the road from Rainbow Beach, and a short trip to Fredericksted.
My wife and I spent a week here and it was incredible. We were right on the beach, which was very private and quiet, and I slept like a baby every night to the sounds of the waves. The house has all the amenities, a very comfy king size bed in the main bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen, a nice yard, and is literally right on the beach. It is not far from downtown Frederiksted and the Rainbow Beach, so there are lots of great shops, restaurants, and activities like snorkeling and jet skiing only minutes away. The people are friendly, the weather is consistently glorious (especially compared to home in Tennessee!) and our entire vacation was very affordable. We will be returning here next year and recommend it to friends and family.
