Lovely, private setting for an unforgettable island visit. Beautifully furnished & decorated. Meticulously maintained. 3 levels of living space - 2,300 sq feet of bright natural light: spacious living area with cathedral ceiling great room opens to large, fully equipped kitchen & sun filled dining area. 2nd floor overlooks the 1st floor living space. 1st floor great room is designed for relaxing; furnished foremost for comfort, gently cooled by a ceiling fan & softly lit in the evening by track lighting. 3 sliding glass doors open to large south-facing deck, overlooking landscaped lawn & garden. Bedrooms are immaculate & comfortable.

Rental includes a house cleaning prior to arrival and linen service for household laundry (bed, bath, kitchen, and beach) at departure.
KITCHEN and DINING: Generous, fully-equipped cook's kitchen. Dining table seats 6 & extends to accommodate up to 10. Full complement of cookware, tableware, utensils, serving, and outdoor cooking and dining needs.
ENTERTAINMENT: Wall mounted flat screen hdtv with full cable programming (46" in great room and 32" in loft); dvd/vcr player (2); stereo with CD player, iPod stereo docking system
OUTDOORS: Large deck, landscaped lawn and garden, Weber gas grill, deck furniture (dining set, umbrella, and chaises), fully enclosed private hot/cold water shower, for beach: chairs, towels, umbrellas, cooler, & beverage jug.

I was first introduced to Martha's Vineyard when visiting with high school friends. I returned to the island year after year, staying in Katama, where I had first discovered the magic of the island. Later, when my young family began to plan summer vacations, we found the island offered everything we desired. We adore Katama and the island. I won't reveal my age by writing how many years I have treasured my visits; but I have many years of family memories of our Katama holidays. Our Katama home is a truly special place.

There are biking paths throughout the island, our home is adjacent to the bike path along Herring Creek Road, from Edgartown to South Beach.
There are nature and conservation lands with miles of paths throughout the island. Enjoy walks through forested acres, along the ocean shore, through grasslands, marshland, and farmland. The natural beauty of the island is uplifting and soothing. The best of places for a magical visit!
