If after taking some tapas in the Plaza Mayor, Plaza de Opera or Sol prefer to return home by subway, you will not have problem because the house is superbly connected between the stations of Moncloa and Argüelles Metro (you can choose any of the two stops) to four stops from the Puerta del Sol.
