The cabins are family owned and located in one of the most beautiful part of Iceland on a 140 hectares of land, in between the two big glaciers Vatnajökull and Myrdalsjökull. The cabins are 3 hour drive from the city of Reykjavik. Located in the south, south east part of the country in a beautiful Icelandic countryside, centrally located to the most sought after attractions in this part of the country and the central inland. G-46 cabin has 3 bedrooms and sleeps 4-5 comfortable. G-42 have 2 bedrooms. One double bed, one single bed and one bunker, sleeps 4 adults and one child comfortably. G-24 sleeps two adults and one child comfortably . G-22 sleeps two adults and one child comfortably .Access to washing machine and dryer is available at no extra cost. Internet connection. The area is very beautiful and peaceful but there is also an easy access (within 35 kilometers) to many kinds of activities and services, for example swimming pool, fishing, shop, restaurant, golf, & healthcare service. Distances :Landmannalaugar 65 km. Lakagigar 40 km. Dyrholaey 60 km. Vatnajökull National Park 100 km. Glaicer lagoon 180 km. Eldgja 30 km. Cabins can be rented all together or separately.

About Siggi & Thurý
We, Þuríður (Thury) and Sigurdur (Siggi) are a married couple for 49 years, have four girls and 9 grandchildren, we are born 1945 and 1949. We are partly retired. Our land property is 140 hectares = 345 acres. We bought the property 21 years ago and started to build a summer cottage. We have now build a home and are living here permanently.

Our land property is 140 hectares = 345 acres. We bought the property 21 years ago and started to build a summer cottage. We have now build a home and are living here permanently.
Our land is 50% naturally grown woodland of wild Icelandic willow and mountain birch. In the other half we have planted more than 100.000 tree seedlings, mostly Alaska Pine, Alaska Spruce, Siberian Larch, Icelandic birch and Rowan.
Why This Property?
We are very found of our land, in our eyes it is the most beautiful spot in the world. It is sheltered but have great view over a beautiful Icelandic countryside. If we take a walk few hundred meters up on the hill above us we have a panorama view inland and of the two big glaciers in the south; Mýrdalsjökull and Vatnajökull.
