LASTLY, PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST A DATE THAT COINCIDES WITH A PREVIOUS GUEST ARRIVING OR LEAVING. JAMIE, OUR PROPERTY MANAGER, AND HER TEAM, WILL NEED EXTRA TIME TO PREPARE THE HOUSE DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC.
The Yellow Coconut is a beautiful East End hilltop home with spectacular views over the Caribbean Sea, Altona Lagoon & the North Shore. The home has been featured in Architectural Digest. The grounds of the house are well manicured, surrounded by beautiful bougainvillea's, large palm trees, aloe vera plants, and many other exotic flowering plants and trees. The property is very private, so you will feel it's just you and the island with not a care in the world!
Our Property Manager, Jamie Lammering, will greet you at the airport. Jamie is originally from the midwest and has been on St. Croix since 2005. She loves this sunny island as her home, and enjoys vacationers falling in love with the house, and the island. Once you've picked up your rental car, Jamie will escort you to The Yellow Coconut. The entrance has a spacious parking area and professionally landscaped walkway to the arched front door and side courtyard. When you open the front door, you will notice the breezeway leads you to the large, saline heated pool, as well as the master bedroom suite, and the remainder of the house. The pool is kept at a comfortable 86 degrees year round. There are NO STAIRS anywhere in the house, making it easy to wheel or carry your luggage to your room.
The master bedroom suite is separate from the remainder of the house. French doors from the master open to a lounge-bistro covered dining area overlooking the views and pool. The room is very spacious, with a brand new king bed, new nightstands, new fan and a new 40" mounted TV that you can move to your liking. The master has a bath/jacuzzi tub and a tiled two person shower. The bedroom also has a walk-in closet.
We have two guest bedrooms, both with queen beds, nightstands, fans and TVs. One of the guest bedrooms has it's own ensuite bathroom with a tiled two person shower. This bedroom also has it's own closet.
The large kitchen, living and dining areas are very open with many places to sit and relax. The kitchen also has bar seating for two. The living and dining areas have comfortable seating for eating, drinking, watching TV, or just socializing. This area includes 4 french doors that open to the heated pool, deck and the garden area.
When you're at The Yellow Coconut, outside in the pool and deck area is the place to be. There are 6 chaise lounge chairs with colorful pillows around the heated pool if you're looking to bask in the sun and enjoy the spectacular views. If you're looking to escape the sun for awhile, we also have covered outdoor seating outside the dining room and master suite with plenty of places to sit.
The Yellow Coconut is in an excellent location. We're located 2 miles or less from all of the following: Christiansted, beaches, snorkeling, diving, golfing, marina for boating/sailing, and many restaurants.

We stayed at the Yellow Coconut for 9 nights over the Christmas Holiday. We had been to St. Croix four years prior, but elected to stay here this time because we know the owners (great people!) The Yellow Coconut is a wonderful place: clean, comfortable and relaxing with nice indoor areas and a gorgeous deck and pool area. We spent plenty of time at the house swimming and grilling out, but all the amenities and fun destinations in the island were very convenient to the house location. The house manager, Jamie, met us at the airport and directed us to the house, with a little pit stop at a convenience store for items we needed overnight. She is definitely an asset - even sent my husband’s iPad back to us when he left it charging. We had a wonderful stay in St. Croix at the Yellow Coconut, and hope to return again one day. Recommendations: Dive Experience in Christiansted (I was certified in SCUBA on this trip with my two sons); Castaways - a fun bar on the East End with good food as well; Sandy Point if it’s open - amazing stretch of white sand beach with no development because its a turtle nesting nature preserve; Rainbow Beach - on the west side, fun place to rent jet skis or other water equipment, excellent food and drinks at Rhythms, and good sunset spot; Tap Deck Bar and Billiards - in Frederiksted across from the pier, excellent food and drinks and sunset watching, above a dive shop and hard to find the entrance because the steps are in the courtyard behind the shops.
Absolutely perfect! We have been vacationing in St.Croix for over 25 years and and have rented other homes. The Yellow Coconut was by far the best place we've stayed. This house has a beautiful view of the water and is private and serene. We loved having our coffee out on the deck every morning while enjoying our view and the quitness. The pool was perfect and relaxing with floaties and we all enjoyed swimming and lounging everyday. We never felt rushed, we were able to eat breakfast here everyday and enjoy our mornings because everything you would have at home is here at the Yellow Coconut! Jamie , the house manager , met us at the airport when we arrived and brought us to the house. She was so warm and friendly and extremely helpful and knowledgeable about any questions we had. Also..the property is very close to town and to the beaches and marina that we like to go to. The owners were also very friendly on the phone and very accommodating. OMG- where do I begin? Perfect place for our 2 couple visit of 9 days- each day began with this view and perfect weather- so relaxing not to fight the weather each day like other places. House was just as you see it- had everything we needed. Location perfect- right up the hill from the Bucanneer Resort and Golf Club and just minutes from downtown Christensted. Safe, clean and close to everything we needed and wanted! Be sure to eat at the Bombay Club and try the other beach places like the Tamarind and the Cane Bay beach hang outs. Golf at Carambola or Bucanneer a must. Our first visit, but certainly not our last! The Yellow Coconut rocks!!
Our group of four stayed for a week at the Yellow Coconut and it was absolute paradise. The house was situated on a hilltop with beautiful views and an overall feeling of serenity. Although in a neighborhood, we still felt as though we were the only ones on that hill. The entrance was lovely and open with locks and gates for safety. The saltwater pool was the perfect temperature and size; oversized (and very soft) towels and floats were included. Beach towels were also included which was a wonderful surprise. The patio had wonderful seating and was always clean. The pool maintenance came while we were there to ensure a clean pool. The multiple entry doors from the patio into the house made the house very airy. However, if we decided to keep the doors shut, the AC from the bedrooms inside the main house allowed the entire house to stay very cool and comfortable. The interior of the house was very clean and updated. The kitchen had modern appliances and we cooked every night! The open floor plan was perfect for evenings spent in - cooking and enjoying company. The bedrooms were all equipped with the softest sheets EVER and wonderful duvets with down comforters. I actually inquired about the sheets because they were so good and now I have them on my bed at home!! It really felt like we were living in luxury! The master bedroom is separate from the main house which again felt sooooo luxurious. It was enormous and had a perfect en suite bathroom with open shower and soft towels. The AC was set to a perfect temperature to enjoy the comforter at night. There were even beautiful baskets to use as laundry baskets - which is just one example of all the little details that makes this house so special. Jamie has thought of everything!! Jamie, the property manager was absolutely wonderful! She made sure our stay was perfect and checked in on us during the week. She met us at the house upon arrival (actually offered to pick us up at the airport!) and showed us around. She really made us feel comfortable and at home in the Yellow Coconut. We will definitely be back soon and highly recommend staying here. Close to town, beaches, food, everything - - one of the best vacations we've had on STX. XOXOXO
My husband and I, along with friends, spent a week at The Yellow Coconut. It is indeed a bit of heaven. The house is so nicely appointed..everything you might need is there. They have thought of every detail! The house is so welcoming and relaxing that you really have to pull yourself away to see other things on the island. The view is amazing! Thank you, Brian and Denyse, for sharing your home. We highly recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a place close to Christensted.
