Smoky's Retreat is a gorgeous 3 bedroom cabin designed for relaxation, romance, and fun. Newly updated and located in the desirable Pine Haven community off Wears Valley Rd in Pigeon Forge. Perfect for families with children, the cabin is located on a PRIVATE cul-da-sac shared with only 5 other cabins. The cabin is less than 5 minutes (2.6 miles) from the Parkway at Light #3 in Pigeon Forge and only 12 miles from Gatlinburg/Ober ski resort. You can access McGill St next to our neighborhood to avoid the usual headache and traffic of the Parkway during busy times. If you're looking for the ideal log cabin getaway experience, Smoky's Retreat is just the place you're looking for. Where else can you stay and feel like a kid again spending the night in a TREE HOUSE?
If youโre tired of renting cabins that require endless zig zagging and perilous climbs up roads along with never ending walkways or porch steps where you think you need a mountain goat to access your cabin then youโll be delighted by the very easy drive to get to Smoky's Retreat. Well maintained roads lead to the cabin with flat parking for up to 3 large vehicles.
Feel free to enjoy a romantic dinner in the Dining Room or a quick snack at the breakfast bar. Plus we have plenty of seating for up to 10 guests when you cook your family meal. After dinner you can sit back and enjoy the fireplace or the views of the mountains while sipping a cup of hot cocoa or watching your favorite movie on the flat screen TV in the great room.
For the sportsmen in the family there is the game room located upstairs that features a BRAND NEW custom regulation size pool table. While playing pool you can enjoy the great views of the mountains in the background or the flat screen below so no one will miss their favorite sporting event. It is perfect for those who want to entertain or sit back and relax. Also there is a private reading area in Smoky's Den located in the loft area with a comfy leather couch and chairs. **We are also happy to announce we have a BRAND NEW Stand-up 60 game MULTICADE ARCADE.
If relaxation is what you are looking for then step out to our secluded and private deck. Here you will find both open and covered areas so you may enjoy the outdoors no matter what the weather brings. The covered 6 to 8 person hot tub is nestled in the corner so you can enjoy the same great views. You may drink your morning coffee while enjoying the views from the rocking chairs or head over to the other side which is covered for a quick snack or meal at the patio table and chairs. This is great for a private meal with your loved one.
For when you decide to retire for the evening, Smoky's Retreat offers 2 King Master Suites on the main level. ~ The Leaf Room offers a King Tempur-pedic Memory Foam mattress with a 4 inch Gel/Memory Foam topper so it is like sleeping on a cloud, 32' flat screen tv, electric fireplace for ambiance, 2 person jetted Jacuzzi tub, private bathroom with walk-in shower along with a spacious closet for the storage of your belongings. ~ The second King Master Suite, The Fisherman Room, features a King Tempur-pedic Memory Foam mattress with a 2 inch Gel/Memory Foam topper for those that need it slightly firmer than the cloud like feel of the other master bedroom, picture windows with hand carved mountain scenes, 28' flat screen tv, shared bathroom, and access to the deck. ~ The third bedroom, The Fish Whisperer Room, offers a queen size medium firm bed, 28' flat screen tv, along with the same great furnishings and decorations. For the younger guests you will find one queen size sleeper sofa in the great room and one upstairs in Smokyโs den. **All bedrooms have new mattresses and sleepers have upgraded commercial grade sleeper mattresses).
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: (if your question is not answered here, please feel free to email us)
1. Where is this cabin located? โ Smokyโs Retreat is only 2.6 miles off of US-441 Scenic Parkway at Light #3 in Pigeon Forge which is Wears Valley Rd. You will be in the heart of Pigeon Forge along with being down the road from The Island (3.1 miles), Dollywood (6.5 miles), Gatlinburg (11.8 miles), Tanger Outlet Mall in Sevierville (5 miles), The Great Smoky Mountains National Park (6.3 miles to their Gatlinburg Headquarters), Cal Ripken Baseball Park (only 3.7 miles and on same street as our neighborhood), Wears Farm Ball Park & Pigeon Forge City Park and Playground (a mile away and almost across the street from our neighborhood) and The University of Tennessee's Neyland Stadium (28.3 miles).
2. Is this cabin secluded? โ Smokyโs Retreat is located on .65 acres and shares a private road with 5 other cabins along with being located on a cul-de-sac. The back deck is very private with no other cabins being viewable from the deck.
3. When will I get the address and cabin access info? โ Address, door code, and driving directions will be sent in a separate email after your final payment is made.
4. What Linens are included? โ We provide linens for beds, bath towels, and wash cloths. Bring beach towels for hot tub or if you plan on participating in any water activities while in town or if you have a towel hog in the group.
5. What household supplies are provided? โ We get you started with 1 roll of paper towels, 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom, mini dish detergent, 1 dishwasher pod, 1 laundry detergent pod, 2 kitchen trash bags, travel size bar of soap.
6. What does the kitchen include? โThe kitchen is stocked with everything you would expect in a normal kitchen plus a blender, toaster, various size pots & pans, wine glasses, and a regular coffee pot. Oh, did I mention that there is a Krogers and Publix grocery store across the street from each other less than 2.6 miles down from the cabin so you can do all your shopping right before you arrive.
7. Do you have a washer and dryer? Yes we have a brand new washer and dryer. Donโt forget to bring your laundry detergent.
8. Is this cabin handicap assessable? โ No and our interior door openings do NOT accommodate wheelchairs. BUT I will say our cabin is perfect for guests with certain limitations for the following reasons:
~ The Tempur-pedic mattresses with memory foam toppers (each bed has different firmness, see above description to see if we have the correct firmness for your needs). ~ The Fisherman's Room: has a lower bed that is easy to get in and out of.
~ The Leaf Room's walk-in shower has about a 6 inch step to get into it along with having a seat in the shower.
~ The Loft and Gaming area is open to the lower cabin so if someone is unable to climb the steps they will not feel left out of all the family fun.
~ The back deck is all one level.
9. Do you provide a grill? โ Yes! It is a camp style charcoal grill. Donโt forget to bring your charcoal and lighter!
10. Do you provide fire wood? No need, all of our fireplaces run on gas. Operational October 1-March 1
11. Do you allow pets? โ No. Under no circumstances do we allow pets or animals. We strive to be a safe place for those families seeking an ALLERGEN FREE rental due to health reasons. Make sure to message for Peanut allergies. The cabin is also equipped with an UV air purifier system that uses ultraviolet germicidal UV light that destroys living airborne pathogens such as viruses and bacteria.
12. Is the hot tub cleaned after every stay? โ Yes! Our hot tub is drained, cleaned, and refilled for every stay
13. Is there a pool in the area? โ The Pigeon Forge Community Center is only 2.7 miles and the best thing about it...you don't even have to enter the Parkway to get to it. It has a fitness center, bowling alley, swimming pool, basketball courts, and walking track for a small daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly fee. Contact Pigeon Forge Community Center for current rates. Sevierville's Family Aquatic Center and Splash Pad is 6.9 miles away ($4/ kids, $5/adults,$2.50/spectators & a punch card can be purchase which make each child $1.52).
14. Is the cabin decorated for the holidays? โ YES. Nov 12, 2021 to Feb 3, 2022 the Great Smoky Mountain Christmas Elf will have stopped by and decorated the cabin in big red bows, glitter everywhere, and garland inside and out along with a country themed Christmas Tree so the big man himself can stop by!!
15. When is the second payment due? โ 30 Days prior to your stay.
16. What time is check-in and check-out? โ You may check in any time after 3pm and you must checkout prior to 10am on the day of your departure.
17. How do cancellations work? โ Cancellations or changes that are made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date will be refunded at 50% of Total Rental. Any cancellations made within 30 days of the arrival date are non-refundable.
18. Do you provide travel insurance? โ If you need more flexibility than the stated cancellation policy, we do recommend the purchase of Travel Insurance (this does not go through us) or a more generous policy that is known as CFAR (Cancel For Any Reason).
19. Can I cancel if the weather is bad? โ Cancellations due to weather will not be refunded.
20. What type of internet to you provide? โ We provide unlimited cable internet with Wi-Fi
21. Are there any days where Check-in or Check-out is not permitted? - Saturdays, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Thanksgiving Day. Also depending on how a holiday falls, there is a chance other days may also be included in this list.
22. Are Fire Pits allowed? โ Fire pits are NOT allowed anywhere on the property. With the cabin located in a forest that has experience droughts and major forest fires over the years, fire pits are a fire hazard.
