Why This Property?
When our twins were small we had a condo in Orlando, and decided to take them to the beach for a day. We all fell in love with New Smyrna Beach - especially at Bethune Beach where there is no driving on the beach and it's really quiet, with a little park close by for the children (and to go to watch dolphin and manatee). When our twins were small we had a condo in Orlando, and decided to take them to the beach for a day. We all fell in love with New Smyrna Beach - especially at Bethune Beach where there is no driving on the beach and it's really quiet, with a little park close by for the children (and to go to watch dolphin and manatee). There are only two condos at that end of the beach, and there was a ground floor unit for sale. We could immediately picture ourselves there with the children - able to run in and out to the pool and the beach without having to carry beach equipment up and downstairs (there is an elevator, so it wouldn't have been that bad....), so we made an offer on it and it was accepted. We've improved the unit bit by bit over the years, and kept it as a relaxed, friendly home to which renters return year after year.
Unique Benefits
This unit has the benefits on being on the ground floor and level with the pool. It's right on the beach (any closer, the ocean would come in with you!) There's a grassy dune with rock revetment to protect you, but you still have a good ocean view when you are standing in the kitchen (makes food preparation much more fun to be on the look out for dolphins!) Just a mile from the National Seashore with nature walks, history and miles of deserted beaches and with JBs Fish Camp just across the road, where you can hire kayaks, or just have a meal and watch the sunset. What more could you ask for?
