Where do I begin? We were searching for a home that was unique and provided everything you expect during a tropical Hawaiian vacation. We didn't want the traditional hotel experience. We were hoping to experience what it was like to live on Kauai. Glenn was very helpful during the booking process. He always responded within minutes which was quite remarkable. Even when paddling up the river, he replied. Upon arrival it was dark and finding the home was a bit tricky. But when we awoke the next morning we were blown away with what we saw. The citrus tress were bustling with oranges, tangelos, grapefruits and a few things I could not identify. We enjoyed eating star fruit for the first time. The mountain views were simply breathtaking and we found it difficult to leave the premises. We were traveling with out grown kids, an active bunch and they especially liked hiking and morning runs on the trails behind the house. I got a little lost back there but eventually with the help of my iPhone, found my way back. The kids also used the fitness room and commented that the equipment was top notch. The home is well appointed. It has the feel of a country home yet is sprinkled with modern amenities and touches. It is very tastefully decorated and there is plenty of space for all. The bedding, towels and appliances where very upscale, finer than I expected. They had Ralph Lauren sheets and down comforters on several of the beds. It was nice having the paddleboards and bikes and I even gave the boards a whirl on the river. Most meals were spent at the house, but at the suggestion of the owners we had dinner at The Westin Hotel, Lighthouse Bistro and Bar Cuda in Hanalei. We spent a lot of time at Kalihiwai Bay which seemed to mostly be visited by local people. We attended a Luau and hiked the Sleeping Giant Trail. We really enjoyed the beaches nearby and the property. Secret Beach was our favorite. I could go on and on... In summary our trip was everything we had hoped for and so much more. Glenn and Kim are terrific hosts and their passion and genuine regard for our vacation was very apparent. We hope to make Ke Aloha a place to come back to with our grown children and eventually our grandkids. I hope our children are reading this. LOL!!! If you travel in February, bring a sweater. It did get cool in the evenings. Much thanks and Aloha go out to the owners and we will never forget the time we spent at Ke Aloha. Mahalo, Mahalo, Mahalo...
Amazing house on an absolutely beautiful, lush property of 5 acres affording complete privacy for our party. Yet close to beaches, shopping, dining and all that the north shore has to offer. We hope to return again soon! Thank you Glenn and Kim for sharing your property and Aloha Spirit.
We traveled to Kauai to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary with our children and their families. Everyone agreed that Ke Aloha Estate was the perfect place for our extended family. The kids loved playing in the pool and, of course, picking fruit. Most of us had never tasted lychee fruit...what a treat! The house was so well-equipped too! The little ones and I were able to bake cookies while the older ones went on a sailing trip! We also appreciated all of the beach toys and toddler life jackets. The children wore those in the pool as well as at the beach. Several family members also enjoyed working out at the well-equipped gym, which is better equipped than the gym at the hotel we stayed at when we first arrived! Kimmy (concierge) helped arrange a photo session at the beach for us as well as rental equipment for the baby in the group. We really appreciated being able to make arrangements before our arrival so that everything was ready for us when we got there. The house really made our trip there special and we are thankful we had the opportunity to make lasting memories together.
We traveled to Kauai with 7 adults and 3 children and the Ke Aloha estate and the amazing service provided by Glenn and Kimmy could not have been more perfect for our group! The house is the perfect size for a larger group - everything from the bedrooms to the living areas to kitchen to the deck to the pool were perfectly sized to let us gather comfortably when we wanted to but take quiet time if that's what we needed. And, the gorgeous grounds complete with play set provided the perfect place to let kids run and play while the adults chatted. Plus, the gym is an incredible space to get a workout in to burn off vacation calories. In addition to the perfect home, Kimmy provided us with absolutely amazing concierge services. Her expertise in planning excursions for a large group made the process a breeze and took so much pressure off of me. She provided the perfect recommendations, booked the excursions and provided custom directions to I just had to type a few emails:) And, when the flooding in Kauai changed some of our excursion plans at the last minute, Kimmy jumped into action to successfully reschedule almost all of the excursions we had planned. If I would have booked the excursions myself, I'm quite sure my vacation would have been ruined attempting to re-plan and our group would not have the amazing experiences that we did while on the island. Glenn and Kimmy have thought of literally everything with this house and their concierge services - you just need to show up with clothes, toiletries, food and a smile.
This estate far exceeded our expectations. The description of the home and property was spot on! The pictures did not truly reflect how beautiful this home and property really are. It was very secluded but it was easy access to main roads. Glenn was very accommodating and answered my many many questions quickly. The home is immaculate and the kitchen is very well supplied with dishes, pans, pots, utensils, and many small appliances. The bedrooms were nicely furnished and plenty of room. The pool was used regularly as well as the hot tub. There were many pool toys available in the garage. There also a few bunnies roaming the property. There is a small yoga studio/bungalow just down from the main house. My son and his friend stayed in this. It is completely furnished with a full bathroom, ping pong table, huge TV, and exercise equipment. The small pond is just outside the studio and they would relax beside it and just listen to the waterfall splashing. We had 2 infants in our party Kimmy of Kauai Ventures was very helpful with recommending where to rent cribs and high chairs. They were delivered prior to our arrival. She also arranged for a chef to cook a phenomal meal one night as well as booking a photographer to take our family photos on the property. She made reservations on our behalf at the Smith’s Family Luau. That is a “don’t miss” activity! There are a couple of beaches nearby - Anini that is just a few minutes from the house. We also went to Hanalei Pier which is also not too far away. The trail behind the home leads to the Stone Dam waterfall. The area is so beautiful and amazing and it is worth the hike/walk to it. I would definitely recommend this property to friends and family. I’d like to keep it a hidden gem just for us but would also like others to experience it as well. It is truly an exceptional property. Thank you Glenn and Kim for making our family vacation amazing! Chieko
