Cancellation & Refund Policy
  • Bookings cancelled at minimum 7 days before the start of the stay will receive a 50% refund.
  • Bookings cancelled at minimum 14 days before the start of the stay will receive a 100% refund.
Refund will be given if canceled up to two weeks before reservation. Half will be returned if cancellation falls within two weeks of reservation.
House Rules
Absolutely no smoking or pets! No drinking parties and only the guests to be at the cottage are the ones staying unless prior arrangements are made.
Respect house rules and property rules. Respect owners and take care of property.
If rules are not followed, guests will be asked to leave.

About Allison
We are a family of 5, raising 3 children. Floyd grew up in Belvidere and I was born in GA. We were married in 2000 and cleared the lot given to us by Floyds Father. We put a home on the 2 acre piece. We built the cottage in the side yard for family when they travel here to visit and then decided to turn it into a rental. We enjoyed building it and look forward to sharing it with others! Why This Property?
Quiet, secluded in the trees, safe for kids and family! Better than crowded hotels and bed and breakfasts where you can't control the temp in your room. We are the owners and we will be here if you need anything, not states away! No phones to bother you while on vacation. Bring your cell phone. We will not bother you, but we are here for you whatever your needs within reason.

Sit on the front porch and read a book in our rocking chair. Walk the trail behind the cottage. Take a dip in the saltwater pool or jacuzzi. Play outside games. This is the place to go if you want a beautiful cottage where you can have a restful stay. When my wife and I arrived just after dark, the lights were on, the fireplace was going and the Christmas tree was aglow. The smell of the new wood was so fresh and inviting. Everything was so clean and well organized and decorated. We had family come over and enjoy a Thanksgiving movie on the 40' flatscreen TV. My wife helped prepare a delicious Thanksgiving Feast in the full kitchen. She had all she needed to prepare the meal. I fell asleep sitting on the front porch in the sun reading a book in the hammock swing. The bed slept well and the jacuzzi is great. It is the most peaceful, well kept vacation rental that we have ever stayed in. We will be back!

Great Getaway With Young Kids

My husband and I spent two nights at The Pinewood Guesthouse with our two year old son and infant daughter. Our goal was simply to get away and enjoy time together, and the cottage really afforded that opportunity. Our son loved the pool and slide, and our whole family enjoyed relaxing in the clean and spacious cottage. The bathroom was a great place to unwind after our kids were in bed (it's beautiful) and the washer and dryer and dimmer switches were especially thoughtful touches. Allison was a fantastic host and even made sure the cottage had a high chair and some kids' toys. She was friendly and easy to communicate with and also afforded us complete privacy during our stay. Thanks so much, Allison! We hope to return!

The Pinewood Guesthouse was great! It was very convenient because we were fishing in the area. It was very clean and the owners were very friendly. We are looking forward to our next trip.
