Trail heads for hiking or mountain biking the Santa Rosa Mountains and lighted community tennis courts are within 1-2 blocks of the home. Golf courses, La Quinta Tennis Gardens, the state of the art Palm Desert Aquatic Park, The Living Desert, College of the Desert (great area street fair,) and casinos are all within a short distance of the home. Everything is right at your fingertips.
The home is attractively decorated and immaculately maintained. The large kitchen is a chef's delight and is fully equipped. The 2 bedrooms are extremely comfortable; there are 2 king beds, and a convertible queen sofa in the living room. There are 2 bathrooms with ADA comfort height toilets; both are spacious and immaculately maintained.
Adjoining the master bedroom is a small, separate patio for catching views of the Santa Rosa Mountains. The home is fully turn-key equipped with all linens, cooking supplies and the day to day necessities.
There is a terraced backyard with a BBQ for outdoor dining, a covered patio, and a beautifully renovated saltwater pool and spa with a waterfall. Spa heating is included year-round; pool heating between Oct. 15 and Apr. 15 is an addition cost of $30. nightly. The pool area is completely private with the backyard being fully fenced and gated; not a shared space. The home is handicap accessible and is a PET and SMOKE-FREE property. Pool and yard maintenance is provided.

Why look elsewhere when you've found everything you've wanted in a home away from home. This is our second time renting this home from Bev & Ron. As like last time, they were very accommodating and available to answer any of our questions. Not a day of rain (or snow for us Canadians) while in Palm Desert in 2016 lured us back again for October 2017. October 2018 is tentatively on hold. Thanks again for renting your home out to our family.
We are returning guests to Bev and Ron's lovely home in the desert. It is a piece of heaven for us after the winter of northern California. The house feels like home away from home, beautifully decorated and equipped for all of our comforts and cooking needs. We never ventured out for evening meals as the house is so comfortably, why leave? We could grill and cook in a spacious kitchen better than crowded restaurants while enjoying a beautiful sunset around the pool, misters, and hot tub. We highly recommend this beautiful home. You will feel like you're in your own home and not the sterile feel of a condo or hotel room. Bev and Ron Buries couldn't be more helpful or supportive giving you all the info and recommendations you might need to make your stay magical and unforgettable.
My friend and I decided to take a short trip to the desert and Bev and Ron's place couldn't have been better! The proximity to hiking trails and El Paseo shops and restaurants was wonderful. As noted in the other reviews, the house is totally equipped for settling in, cooking an elaborate meal or simply relaxing in the most comfortable, relaxing environment. I highly recommend it and will always come here. Bev and Ron are very accessible and accommodating beyond belief
We spent a pre-Thanksgiving holiday in this lovely rental home. It is a great place for rest and relaxation and close to so much of what we go to the desert for. The home was immaculate upon our arrival and remained cozy and comfortable throughout our stay. This home is better equipped than any we have ever stayed at in the desert. It is beautifully furnished and it is evident that the owners take good care of the home. The beds are comfortable. This is an private home in a quiet neighborhood which is about 2 blocks from El Paseo. We walked to restaurants, markets and even to the theaters in the mall. The backyard is beautiful. It has different levels where you can be in the sun or the shade and remain comfortable. We golf, and thoroughly enjoyed coming home to the spa to unwind after our "hard work" at golf. A great place for rest and relaxation, we definitely recommend this place.
My husband and I, along with my parents rented Ron & Bev’s home for three weeks during Sept./Oct. 2016 (a tad late in submitting a review) and were fortunate enough to meet Bev during our stay. Choosing a place is very dependent on comments from prior renters. Everyone had given Ron & Bev’s place 5 star ratings (when previously listed under V***) so that put us at ease right away but from the first time we connected with them with the initial inquiry to the end of our vacation, we have nothing but positive comments to say. Prior to our arrival, Bev even went out of her way to send me a listing of things that we can do since it was our first time staying in Palm Desert. The pictures you see are exactly as the house is. The beds and furniture were very comfortable; the kitchen stocked with all the necessities and the pool was very refreshing on the hot days. When we had issues (mainly our fault from not reading instructions properly), they were indeed a phone call away. There is so much to do in and around Palm Desert plus LA and San Diego are not too far away. We have no hesitation in recommending Ron and Bev’s home and have tentatively booked it again for 2017. Thanks Ron and Bev for helping make our vacation a wonderful experience.
