We stayed at Jungle Creek for our second visit to Costa Rica (June 2017), because we knew it was a great place to stay after we had stayed there in 2016 for 2 days. This time we stayed for 10 days and there was a total of 6 of us, which included two kids. The location is great, being very close to the main road which runs between Quepos and Manuel Antonio National Park. However, it is off the main road and back in a neighborhood a little, so it is quiet. The property and grounds are beautiful and everything is well kept. The rooms are clean, comfortable and have everything you need. AC works well, as do all the other amenities. You get to see wildlife here and there during your stay. We saw titi monkeys, lizards, iguanas, geckos, interesting insects, macaws, toucans, and the occasional sloth. It is a great place to relax, and also to regroup for your adventures out. Paula is a FANTASTIC owner and property manager. She is extremely friendly and accommodating. She takes pleasure in being essentially a concierge for her guests. She can help you book outings and adventures, making it very easy for you to enjoy what the area has to offer with no stress and little planning on your part. To sum up, the property is safe, beautiful, comfortable, friendly, convenient, relaxing and a perfect way to enjoy the Pura Vida lifestyle. We would live here if we could.
We really appreciated our accommodations at Jungle Creek. The hostess, Paula Clark is amazing. She made sure we knew what was going on locally, and had a wonderful welcome basket for us. She also provided a booklet she put together sharing local eateries, tours, etc. Although, there are four units, we felt very private. The pool was right outside the sliding door of our villa and we only had other people in that area one day out of five. Very nice home, clean and comfortable. Nice surroundings with jungle and creek sounds. We even had capuchin monkeys in the morning passing by. I would highly recommend Jungle Creek. All of the units looked very nice. We took a peak in one of the others. We stayed in four different properties in Costa Rica and this one is on the top of the list. Thank you Paula for a great stay!
We had a very rocky start to a trip I spent over a year planning. Paula at Jungle Creek was an absolute SAVIOR! She not only assisted planning nearly 100% of our trip, but help in getting us a shuttle when our flight was canceled last minute and we had to purchase airline tickets sending us to a totally different airport in Cost Rica. The facility at Jungle Creek is immaculate. It is cozy and we felt like we were at home. Paula was available whenever we needed her. She helped organize all of our excursions, which were amazing, and she had a personal relationship with each company, which was great. We had a wonderful time at our stay there and I would HIGHLY recommend Jungle Creek to anyone :)
My family and I just returned from a wonderful vacation at Jungle Creek. I must say that everything was fabulous. The pictures do not do the villa complex justice. We stayed in the three bedroom, 2 bath Alma Pacifica villa, and we found it to be well maintained, roomy, air-conditioned and just what we needed. The kitchen was functional, well-equipped and the gas grill added flexibility to cooking at home. While up and away from the beach and the crowds of town, Jungle Creek is a $10.00 cab ride to most places of interest, including the beach, restaurants and shopping. Being nestled away from the crowds, brought peace and tranquility to our visit. We sat on the patio or enjoyed the pool while monkeys swung from tree to tree, chatted among themselves, and the birds and howler monkeys chimed in to complete the chorus. While the villa in and of itself was wonderful, we canโt say enough about the owners, Paula and Clark. Paula was instrumental in making our vacation even more spectacular than we could have imagined. To reach Jungle Creek, we flew into San Jose and Paula arranged for us to be picked up and driven the two hours to Jungle Creek. Our driver waited patiently while we bought groceries and other things we forgot at the Walmart in Alajuela. From Walmart it was a stop at the Bridge of Crocodiles for some sightseeing and souvenir shopping before heading on to Jungle Creek. Upon our arrival at Jungle Creek, Paula met us outside the complex, went over some basic common sense rules (like donโt feed the dogs or the monkeys for that matter and no glass by the pool), then she showed us to our villa. Once inside, we found a gift basket that contained a pineapple, coffee, cookies and other items to make our stay more enjoyable. Paula went beyond the call of duty to make sure that we enjoyed our stay. While the villas within the complex were mostly rented while we were there, at no time did we feel that the complex was too small or perhaps too crowed or over-booked. Paula was available to recommend and book excursions for us as a family, make suggestions regarding which beaches to go to, and who to rent beach chairs and umbrellas from. Both Paula and Clark made recommendations regarding nearby restaurants, and our dinners out ranged from good to excellent. Clearly Paula, Clark and the staff of Jungle Creek work hard to keep the complex clean and well maintained, and Paula works closely and has built outstanding relationships with the tour vendors to make sure that her guests have a wonderful time! While Jungle Creek, in and of itself is a wonderful place to visit, the staff should be commended on how well it is maintained. Our hats are off to Paula, who served as โHouse Motherโ, booking and restaurant agent, and as a sounding board for bouncing off ideas regarding our stay at Jungle Creek. Just as their motto states, "we arrived as guests and we left as friends.
Everything worked. There was a welcome package. Owners gave us tips od tours and restaurants to go to. Definitely recommend! !!
