This property was purchased in 1917
Why This Property?
This property was purchased by my great grandfather in 1917 when he came from England. He was a gamekeeper in England and began Markover to raise pheasants in the states, over the years my grandfather and father expanded the business to include a upland bird hunting preserve and now in the off season (spring and summer) we offer the lodge and preserve to vacationers.

We offer a quiet and relaxing getaway, when you are at the lodge it feels miles away from the rush of society yet we are only about a mile from rt395 and a shopping center, less than 5 miles from the fine dining found in Putnam and about a 15 minute drive to the Brooklyn and Woodstock fairs in the fall.
