Our Lake Access home has five bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, living room with gas fireplace, large counter area in the kitchen, large dining room(seats 8), & game room with gas heater. Relax and enjoy beautiful nights on the spacious 10' x 24' 2nd floor deck and large flagstone patio on the 1st floor. There is plenty of room for parking 3+ cars and boat trailer in the drive way.
A leisurely 250 yd walk leads you to the beautiful outdoor heated community pool with adjoining wading pool, playground, basketball and tennis courts. All community amenities are included in the rental price. Our community has on site security.
Enjoy Lake Wallenpaupack and the Community Beach, Boat Launch & Boat Slip(additional fee & Seasonal)just a short drive away (approx. 3 min).

Our stay here was so much fun thanks to what this home has to offer! Very clean, spacious and has everything you'll need to enjoy your vacation.
We had a great time at the Black Bear Home over the past five days. We had a last minute cancellation on our other reservation and Shelby was able to work with us and respond very quickly to get this place set up for our trip. The home is beautiful, tastefully decorated, and had everything we needed to make this an easy trip to enjoy. The property was pet-friendly, but you couldn't tell that it's been inhabited by pets since the place is pretty immaculately clean. The deck was great and provided perfect viewing of the total lunar eclipse that took place during our stay. What made this property particularly great was that if you wanted to stay in the house, there was plenty to do -- tvs in many rooms, ping pong table, video game system, board games, etc. Fortunately we had nice weather so we explored the area and particularly enjoyed hiking around Lake Wallenpaupack and visiting Ritter's Cider Mill. The nearby grocery store (Dutch's) was convenient and well suited to help us bring the supplies we needed for the trip. All in all, we had a great experience and would recommend it highly to others.
We were a group of 10 spanning four generations that spent a long weekend at this great vacation home. The house is beautiful, cozy and well stocked. We enjoyed everything from watching the deer each morning to evening campfires. It was great having the pool and playground so close. Indian Rocks was holding their Summer Olympics that weekend so Mimi and her great grandchildren participated in the fun. The owner, Shelby, was very easy to communicate with and quick to respond to any questions. We hope to return to Black Bear again.
This home and property is impeccably clean, well maintained and highly recommended. It has all the amenities of home and then some. The game room is a hit with everyone. We want for nothing while we are at Black Bear Home. We could not ask for a better location to vacation. This house is the perfect fit for our group of 10. The pool, park, and sports courts are right across the street. The lake and boat dock is just 2 minutes away. We enjoyed Greshams Chop House and John's Italian Pizzeria and Restaurant as well as the shopping and the movies on the 1 rainy day. We had the please of meeting Chris and Shelby and they are just lovely. They feel like family. Any issue we may have had was handled immediately. We can't wait until next years vacation!
