House Rules

No Dirty Dishes! Clean and drying is fine but no dirty dishes!
Bagged trash can go in the bin near the walkway. I haul it off regularly. NO LOOSE TRASH in the bin! Digging it out isn't fun, use your brain.
If there are any missing items, it will be reported to the guest within 5 days of check-out (due to distance between guest/cleaning/Covid).

“The Water and Rest” back story: I purchased the property in 2018 because I fell in love with my vision of what I could turn it into while being close to my Dad; whom was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s during the fall of 2017. Unique Benefits

Why stay here? Guests can access the major towns of the Smoky Mountains easily. Trails and amazing drives are everywhere and within a handful of miles. Having a stream outside your vacation property, along with a few of your favorite people, will make for some amazing memories.

3 Unique ENTIRE Homes: Perfect for small groups that want to travel together, stay in an amazing/unique location together, and enjoy the Great Smoky Mountains together. (Phasing off of AirBnb as my current and only rental connection for units on an individual basis. However, I have a couple hundred reviews there until i get things rolling on this site)

The Water and Rest is a stress-free, but not at all boring place to chill out in GSM; nestled in Cosby off of scenic Hwy 321, into Gatlinburg. @theWaterAndRest is geared towards the creative, respectful, yet adventurous souls needing a REAL getaway with basic conveniences. This property is located off a main road with easy back road access (no steep or scary cliffs) to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville. Sevierville commercial areas being the farthest from here. I cater to guests that want an experience that a hotel, packed mountain, campground, or granny cabin provides.

A nice, roaring stream runs through The Water and Rest so take it in, it's very soothing!

To help protect everyone, there will be 3 nights minimum in between reservations.

First and foremost, especially now, it’s important for you to know that my cleaning policy has always included Clorox, disinfectant spray, and Clorox products. I wipe down common surfaces with Clorox wipes and always have. Also, these products are available in the rental for your use. Never do I reuse comforters. That IS gross! They might have a wrinkle or two from being folded but they’re clean!! My health AND yours is a major priority of mine.

PET FRIENDLY WITH $25 per canine (NO high shedding) per stay. $100 per unit, if excessive hair is found.

WHAT'S INCLUDED???? All 3 units listed below. Each unit is provided with wifi, I-Home station, towels, linens, kitchen supplies, hair dryer, soap, shampoo, conditioner, q-tips, toilet paper, paper towels, coffee, creamer, filters, sugar, various kitchen needs, trash bags, cleaning supplies, games/activities....... and surprise treats depending on the guests' situation.

I provide a unique, boutique-type stay. I use plush linens and everything has been thought out. Nothing is random or "willy-nilly" around here.

*****The Cabin @TheWaterAndRest is a Super cool, stream-front, vintage cabin with a great vibe, and modern touches; all nestled in the Great Smoky Mountains. Two bedrooms and a sleeper sofa. Full Kitchen, Dining, One Bath with private, partially covered back deck.

***** The Loft @TheWaterAndRest is a Super cool, creek front cottage/bungalow with a great vibe, nestled in the woods. Two very comfortable beds in a space that overlooks the stream. 2 queen beds in a studio w/ loft type room. (I’m not talking about the separate unit of The Studio. That is it’s own separate unit.) 1 Bath, Microwave, small oven, stove top, small refrigerator/freezer ALONG with full size refrigerator access which is in the laundry/utility room and is only used for the Loft. 4 rocking chairs are on the open, covered porch. 4 chairs for the fire pit and a charcoal grill. Access to commons area activities.

*****The Studio @TheWaterAndRest is perfect for individuals and couples. It has a crazy cozy queen bed, full bath, and a full kitchen with amenities for a cozy stay. Private fire pit with chairs, stream-side deck, and 2 rocking chairs on an open covered porch; all stream front.

You’re encouraged to “unplug” during your stay and embrace nature, but WiFi IS available for your devices. Pack a tablet or pad if you anticipate needing a screen or electronic entertainment. The Cabin is the only unit with a Smart TV. Otherwise, board games are available for creating memories to last forever. Take a stroll, stick your toes in the water and just be. Help yourself to the swing or horseshoe pit in the commons area across from parking area.
