Just a 5-minute stroll to Rehoboth's fantastic restaurants and tax-free shops and a 10 to 15-minute walk to Rehoboth's mile-long boardwalk and gorgeous beach, this comfortable, welcoming home is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood near the Silver Lake Tot Lot and Park.
You're close enough to walk to everything in Rehoboth Beach, yet far enough away from the nightlife to enjoy quiet evenings in our tranquil, shady backyard. Watch sunsets and starry nights from the large 2nd story deck, and enjoy the private, fenced in backyard with shady trees, patio, gas BBQ, and outside dining table and chairs.
After the beach, walk a few minutes down the street to watch the wildlife from the foot bridge over Silver Lake extension or to play on the swings at the Silver Lake tot lot. We've seen egrets, heron, otters, black swans, and a million catfish and turtles from the footbridge and the shoreline.
After your adventures, shower off in the outside shower, just steps from the walk-through mudroom with washer and dryer and hooks for your beach towels.
This spacious 3200 square foot beach house comfortably sleeps 10 and is perfect for family gatherings. Some folks easily manage with 12 people - though you'll need the sleeper couch for two of your guests!
Inside, you'll appreciate the sunny, open floor plan with plenty of space to hang out and relax.
The house cooks will enjoy the kitchen's high-quality cookware, abundant kitchen supplies, stainless steel appliances including a double oven, and tasteful yet beachy decor.
Two fireplaces, a wet bar, beamed ceilings, and multiple sliding glass doors (including two that lead off bedrooms to the upstairs deck) add to the charm.
Enjoy the large flat screen TVs, DVD library, broadband wireless Internet access, puzzles and books. We also leave our much loved "Rehoboth Beach House Book" full of the latest tips on fun things to do in Rehoboth Beach.

If you're wondering, why visit Rehoboth Beach as opposed to another beach town? Well, we bought in Rehoboth because it is an extraordinary place, the closest thing to a California beach town on the East Coast! There is so much to do in this tiny town, and it's all in walking distance of our home! After 10+ years, we still haven't been everywhere or seen everything in the City of Rehoboth Beach.
We looked at resort-style properties that were further away, but we hate traffic and hot cars, so when we found a place that offered excellent walkability in a quiet neighborhood, we knew we had found our home away from home.
Many families visit here for generations. We've been here since we had to push our oldest son in a stroller to the beach. Now, the kids are old enough to walk on their own!
The City of Rehoboth Beach feels like a small town with its charming architecture and shady streets, yet it has some of the best dining and greatest shopping in the state!
We love relaxing upstairs on our deck, looking at pine trees, or hanging out downstairs on the patio with the BBQ.
When it's time to meander out of the home to explore, we walk to the beach or Silver Lake, enjoy fantastic tax-free shopping or the mile-long boardwalk and quaint Funland amusement park.

We rented in Rehoboth Beach before we bought our house, and we've used our experience with rental houses -- good and bad -- to make our home comfortable and accommodating for vacationers. We love it and enjoy welcoming visitors to our home each summer!
