As of December 13 2021 the Gulf Shores City Council voted to increase the lodging tax by 2% as of 9/1/2022 and and additional 1% in 2023. Home Escape is not able to deal with multiple tax rates so please understand that bookings AFTER 9/1/2022 will be manually increased and sent back for your approval. Beyond my control to impact those fees as I did address the Council as did others but they want to fix the roads and not place it on the residents as in property taxes. How things have changed in the last 10 years!
Please note Home Escape requires a nightly price even though I only rent weekly AND that nightly price is only close to being right about 10% of the time in the spring and the fall. Other times it will be too high and too low. Sorry but something they require. Also Crystal Shores requires parking pass. $33.90/vehicle/30 day stay limit 2 vehicles. One is included in my rate. Parking spaces are 9ft wide and visitor parking is limited to 3 hrs. on the West side where posted.
This is one of two units I own at Crystal Shores and will be in transition to becoming a more upscale model in 2018 as occupancy allows me to make upgrades. It will not be your typical 2 bedroom sleeps 6 model as I only allow occupancy of 4 as there is no sleeper sofa... no air mattresses, etc. Nor do I allow them. I look to provide a property designed around creating an environment where guests look to return again and again.
If you are looking for a bargain price or a last minute special on a rental property, that is not what I am about as I don't take offers. I live close enough and value my unit at what I price it so if that is not for you, it is for me and I will come down and make some additional upgrades or enjoy some sand between my toes! My properties are not your typical rental property but a property that I rent. My goal is to provide an exceptional vacation experience as to your accommodations while in Gulf Shores. There are more expensive as well as cheaper units available in Crystal Shores but few will match 706 as to the quality of the vacation experience delivered for the money you spend. That it is my only objective... the best value for the money. Vacation time should be stress free and that is what I am working towards!.
If you are uncomfortable vacationing in a COVID world please do not request to book in my units. Too many variables outside my control and vaccine options are widely available at this time so all cancellation terms and conditions are stated in my agreement with respect to any and all refund requests. If you are concerned with your ability to honor your request, there are companies that offer travel insurance and you should discuss the pro's and con's of that with them as I am not smart enough to be in this business so if a concern in your world, talk with the experts.
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION -
Crystal Shores is one of the newer (2004) 2 bedroom condominium complexes on the quieter West Beach sitting directly on the white sand beaches of Gulf Shores. Complete with an indoor/outdoor pool, hot tub, dry sauna, work-out room with TV’s allowing you to easily overlook both the beach and the pool! The game room is equipped with both pool and foosball tables for your enjoyment off the beach. Charcoal grills are available for our guests use as well but you must bring your own charcoal/starter/lighter. Rental chaise lounges/umbrella's are available March to November from a 3rd party for $150/week or so... not my pricing to control. There is a place to leave YOUR beach chairs in a beach side storage area but consider bringing a cable lock to secure them. The waters edge is 1-2 minutes from leaving the building and 2 elevators are super fast with only 88 2 bedroom units to service.
This unit comes with 9 ft ceilings so it has a light and airy feeling to it. I will be in the process of updating, upgrading, over 2018 so the images will change over time! I have elected to appoint this unit very comfortably for 4 adults (1 King and 1 Queen bed). I only rent weekly and only Saturday to Saturday.
There is 18" tile flooring throughout the unit. Both bedrooms feature flat screen TVs and the main room has Netflix available (my account).
You will not find floaties/Xbox/etc. as my unit is set up and furnished for adults. Again my focus is a great vacation space for up to 4 persons.
The kitchen is fully stocked, has both granite counters and a glass/ stone tile back splash for those who savor cooking, an upscale cozy space to do so. All new GE appliances as of December 2018, K cup and Mr. Coffee both!
The in unit laundry facilities are a full size washer and dryer plus an iron and ironing board with the laundry detergent provided. I have upgraded the towels as well.
During the hot summer months you remain cool in the shade on the balcony and during the cooler winter months you will feel the warmth of the sun relaxing in those same chairs providing you with a great unobstructed view of the sunset on the beach.
I actually live within a few miles of Crystal Shores so you can expect it to be very clean, completely stocked (soap/paper products/cleaners), and in good condition upon your arrival, no excuses. If there is an issue or one that comes up. The HOA is trialing allowing pets at Crystal Shores but I am not participating in that trial. This is a non-smoking unit as well including the balcony. There is community use smoking balcony available on the second level. I was the President of the Association for 2 years here and active on other Boards where I own. Gulf Shores is a great place and happy to help people have the best vacation possible here.
While I appreciate your interest in my unit I do not entertain/accept/reply to discounted offers. If you have a limited budget to spend I would be happy to help you with some suggestions perhaps for other complexes to consider.
ALL RENTALS ARE WEEKLY AND RUN SATURDAY TO SATURDAY.
DEPOSIT - The Deposit would be in addition to the Rental Rate and a $300 deposit is required to hold a date for a weekly or daily rental. A $600 deposit is required for a rental lasting 4 or more weeks.
Check in time is 3:00 PM and check out time is 9:00 AM. I try and get you in and out before traffic builds which indeed it does on Saturdays.
The Beach/Storage/Pool/Game Room all require the use of FOBs that I provide for my guests.
The condo association does not allow RV's or trailers on the property nor are pets allowed. There is no smoking in my unit or on my balcony. There is smoking allowed on a community balcony on the second floor and under the parking ramp on first floor if you wish.
CALENDAR - Please consult the calendar for available dates as it is ALWAYS current.
Once paid in full you will be sent an email prior to your arrival with an access code to the key less lock. Deposits are returned via mail in 8-12 days via check provided there are no lost or damaged items.

This was our second stay in Michael's condo. Last year, we stayed in August for two weeks and knew that when we returned to Gulf Shores, we would want to stay again in CS706. Michael is attentive and very helpful. He provides great recommendations for the area, as well. The condo is decorated beautifully, very clean and is very well-equipped. The furniture is very comfortable and has alot of storage in the bedrooms. Bathrooms are nice with ample counter space. It is also very nice to have a washer and dryer to use in the condo. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony and watching the dolphins in the morning and at lunchtime. The view is awesome of the Gulf! The access to the beach is perfect. We had another great girls trip to Gulf Shores last week and we will definitely return again to CS706. Thanks for sharing your condo, Michael!!
We enjoyed the week of the 4th at this condo. It's in a good location; easy to get to restaurants, etc. Condo is very clean and updated. It was a great place to get away for a week. Michael was easy to work with during reservation process.

This is our 2nd year to stay at this condo. It is a great place to stay everything is nice and updated. Michael is great to work with highly recommend his condo. Will definitely come back.

Very nice condo with the perfect location and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Opening the door to our condo the first impression was this is sparkling clean, smelled great and inviting. The condo was very nicely decorated and well furnished for all of our needs. The full-size washer and dryer ensure that you don't have to bring a ton of cloths and also that you don't have to go home with a pile of dirty laundry. We were able to have covered parking while we were there most of the time. The use of codes instead of keys was a plus! We saw dolphins several mornings while drinking coffee setting in some really nice patio furniture. The view can't be beat. All areas of the property were clean and well kept. The owners are great to work with and we will try and stay here again when in the area. Because I want to stay here again the last thing I want to add is that if you can’t follow the rules, respect someone’s property and help keep this place nice. Please find another place to stay.

Condo was very clean. Furnishings were comfortable. Full kitchen very well equipped including full size appliances. Washer/dryer included. Starter kitchen, bath and laundry essentials. TV in both bedrooms and living room which included Netflix. Balcony was great with comfy chairs and excellent view. Grounds were kept very clean and secure. Many extras including pool, sauna, hot tub, and exercise room. Michael was very accommodating and informative on the area. When needed he is only a few miles away. Home away from home! Would definitely return!
