After many trips to Pacific Grove and Asilomar, and dreaming about having a home there, I decided to look at houses one weekend. This is the last house we looked at; the kids were too tired to look further, but it was just what I was looking for. A peaceful area; walking distance to the beach, Point Pinos lighthouse, town; and a bonus of having a large wooded lot and also being across the street from a small forest. And the owner, a retired architect turned minister, had just remodeled the kitchen and was being called to a church in So Cal. The swing hanging from the huge oak in the back yard sealed the deal.
