You’ll soon find yourself mesmerized by the rushing waters of Mountaintown Creek from the fantastic views out of all the large windows and porches. The river is so clean and crystal clear that you can see the Rainbow Trout swim right up to the rocky shore.
Luxury sleeping accommodations include TWO MASTER SUITES with oversized King Beds. Both Master bedrooms have access to private decks, one with a stacked stone outdoor fireplace and the other with a cozy swing for two.
In the Terrace Level you’ll have a plush Queen bed with an amazing view of the river.
The Large Kids Room has three sets of high quality bunk beds and a Full-sized futon which connects to the game room. Upstairs in the loft are two Queen sized futons.
This lodge offers the ultimate in luxury accommodations and provides room to comfortably sleep up to 18 people.
If you need more room, we also have rentals nearby that can be added.
The kitchen is spacious and complete with everything you need to feed your family and friends. Granite counter tops and stainless-steel appliances, make you feel right at home.
There are two main dining areas – inside you will find a farmhouse table that comfortably seats eight people and right outside the kitchen door is a patio dining set with terrific river views.
Want to sit back and relax? No worries, there is a porch swing on the private porch on the third floor, reclining chairs on the main porch and a large porch off the main floor master with an outdoor fireplace and enough seating area for your whole group.
Mountain Town Creek is ranked as one of the best Trout Streams in North Georgia. Enjoy all this as you and your family roasts marshmallows around the large OUTDOOR FIRE PIT area overlooking the river.
When it’s time to wind down, relax in the seven-person HOT TUB, play a few games on the FOOSBALL table or a game of billiards on pool table with the family.

Waterfront lodge is only 50 feet from Mountaintown Creek a North Georgia trophy trout stream. You will have incredible views from every room. There is a rope swing where our kids love to play. My favorite is sitting out by the fire pit next to the river.

The word “Ellijay” is an Anglicized form of a Cherokee word, perhaps meaning "place of green things" or "many waters." This would make a lot of sense considering this is the place where the Ellijay and Cartecay Rivers meet forming the Coosawattee River. The Coosawattee and Mountaintown come together and flow into Carter’s Lake: A gorgeous recreational lake developed by the Corps of Engineers. This region abounds with wildlife, including deer, wild turkeys, bears, eagles, and hawks. The Rivers are a favorite for trout fishermen or feel free to our stocked fishing pond within the resort.
There are plenty of things to do in the area, including all kinds of lake and river water sports, hiking, mountain biking, antique and crafts shopping, scenic drives, and golf.
Our Georgia mountain cabin offers privacy, peace and quiet, and cool mountain breezes, and is just minutes from the shops and restaurants in Ellijay and the Blue Ridge area.
