Nestled a short distance up the hill with a private pool, luscious easterly ocean breezes, and a stunning view of turquoise waters, your vacation villa awaits. Pelican Point is located on the preferred east end of St. Croix, where you will meander along the Caribbean Sea to your handsomely appointed vacation home, for an unforgettable experience in paradise. This home is perfect for shared days, followed by private nights, with the ones you love.
This three bedroom, three bath Villa, includes all the conveniences for a home away from home stay in paradise. The high ceilings and open living area allow refreshing easterly breezes to travel through every room in the house. French doors open onto the large deck overlooking your private pool, which you'll slide into after settling into one of the two spacious upper bedrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped and ready to cook up your favorite family meal.
The spiral stairs lead to the private guest bedroom and bath on the lower level. There is an additional room to sit back and relax or have some drinks while playing in the table tennis room. Walk out to the pool area or jump on the hammock to grab a nap in the cool breeze after a dip.
Lounge chairs, and an outdoor sitting area for snacking and relaxing, wrap around the pristine pool. Stunning ocean views; so close you can hear the waves break, can be enjoyed from the pool level, as well as the eastern upper deck. You’ll have a great view of the daily activities at the St. Croix Yacht Club where sailing, kayaking and dining are just a couple minutes away. On the West deck, you’ll see and hear the breaking of the reef waves with famous “Buck Island” as the backdrop. Just to the left is a view of the Reef Golf course & Tennis Club and world renowned Duggan’s Reef restaurant. Duggan’s is one the longest standing and most famous steak and seafood restaurants on St. Croix. Take a short walk down to Duggan’s for the best lobster on the island, or use the gas grill to cook your own, as you view the lush garden below the deck. Your view is of two-toned blue water, changing from cerulean to turquoise with foamy white reef-crashing waves framed by the slope of the eastern hills.
When you venture out, you can easily spend the entire day on the east end. Divi Bay Resort & Casino is quite close and features a sandy, palm-lined beach and pool with a few bars and eateries from which to choose. For a fun, unforgettably unique St. Croix treat, stop at Ziggy's Island Market: a gas station - bar - restaurant - convenience store! As far east as you can drive, you'll find Point Udall, a national monument and the absolute best place to catch the first sunrise in the United States each day; park and hike down to super-secluded Jack and Isaac's Bay for stunning snorkeling, intense sunshine, and the opportunity to truly disconnect (nothing man-made is visible from the beach)!

I grew up on St. Croix and enlisted in the US Air Force after graduating from St. Croix's Country Day High School. My wife is a mid west girl, born in southeast Missouri. We met while on a deployment in Italy. She was also in the Air Force but decided to get out once we were married, to raise our two daughters, while she continued to work in the private sector. I grew up on St. Croix and enlisted in the US Air Force after graduating from St. Croix's Country Day High School. My wife is a mid west girl, born in southeast Missouri. We met while on a deployment in Italy. She was also in the Air Force but decided to get out once we were married, to raise our two daughters, while she continued to work in the private sector. After serving 21 years in the military, I retired in 2006. We both continue to work and currently reside near Greensboro, North Carolina. Both of our girls recently left the house; one in college and the other enlisted in the Air Force. It was hard seeing them venture out into life on their own but it gave us a chance to get to know each other all over again. It's like we fell in love all over again. We were also able to pursue some of the things we had been putting off. The islands were calling and we started spending more time in this beautiful paradise where I grew up. We were thrilled when we found out there was an opportunity to purchase Pelican Point. This home was designed perfectly for us and it is one of the best locations on the island--we had to have it! We will continue to list it as a vacation rental because my wife and I have always wanted to share the beauty and serenity of St. Croix with as many people as possible. There is no better place for fun and relaxation than on St. Croix and the comfort of this home is where it begins. We love hosting friends so this endeavor was perfect for us.

We purchased this property because of the open floor plan, simple comfort, cool easterly breezes and location, location, location! The first time I brought my wife home, she fell in love with the island and I remembered why I loved it so much when I was growing up. This home and this island, bring tranquility to a very hectic world and when you are here; nothing but peace exists. The house has breath-taking views of the ocean without having to drive all the way up a mountain. You can see all of famous Buck Island National Park. and you are walking distance from the beach, golf course and one of the island’s best steak and seafood restaurants - “Duggan’s Reef.” It’s just few minutes ride to Divi Resort and Casino and less than five minutes to the St. Croix Yacht Club or view their regatta activities from the deck of the Villa. Like I said, location, location, location!
