We always discussed the possibility of entering the lodging business and in 2010 decided to go for it. We have had a wonderful time sharing the lodge and meeting wonderful people from all over the world. We would enjoy hosting you during your Colorado adventure.

Don is financial services consultant and the general handy man for the Lodge.
Both Toni and Don are marathon runners, skiers, and cyclists. Their goal is to ensure that your time at Tihsreed is memorable and that you will want to return.

We are perfect families, couples groups, and anyone looking to get away to the cool, scenic mountains. You will find Cowboy's Cove to be well stocked with plenty of cookware, toys, games, linens, sleeping surfaces and bathrooms. With 2 king beds, 2 queen beds, and 2 sets of bunk beds, you can fit a crowd and still have some elbow room. Lots of parking available on site and so much to do nearby!

Pikes Peak Historical Museum (3 miles)
The perfect spot to learn about our area. The PPHM has exhibits on the Native American Tribe (Ute) who lived and hunted in this area for generations, info on the local geology, and lots of cool local history related to the trains that used to travel through town.
Donโt miss Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument (5 miles). It's a fun and educational gem located just a few miles from Tihsreed. At FFB you will see a short film before enjoying an interpretative talk from a ranger, see petrified tree remains and other fossils, walk the 14 miles of trails, picnic at one of three grilling sites, or participate in one of the frequent special events held at the park.
Adeline Hornbek Homestead (5 miles). Be inspired by the tale of this courageous woman who helped settle the west. Widowed in 1864 with three small children to care for, she took on the challenge of creating a home and ranch for her family as a single mother. Visit her homestead and learn more about this spunky, savvy and hard scrabble lady of the west.
