Unique Benefits

Beach or pool? Don't choose between them, have both. Casa Mare is a few metres from an unspoiled sandy beach. With a 12m x 6m solar heated pool as well there are plenty of opportunities for water activities. Need to relax, try the hammock in the shady gazebo surrounded by bourganvilla and jasmine.

This seaside villa, benefiting from a beach location, swimming pool, air-conditioning and all the comforts of a family home provides a peaceful haven for a relaxing holiday in the Salento region of Puglia. Casa Mare is a spacious three bedroom (sleeping 8), detached villa, standing in it’s own walled, private gardens just a stones throw from the Adriatic sea and an unspoilt beach. Completely refurbished and fully equipped, with the added benefit of air-conditioning, a 12m x 6m solar heated swimming pool, free wi-fi internet, flat-screen tv and Satellite TV, (and the Casa Mare cats), Casa Mare is the perfect place to relax at any time of the year. Whether you want to relax by the pool or on the beach, explore the Port of Brindisi, the historic towns of Lecce and Otranto or simply enjoy La Dolce Vita the way the Italians do, Casa Mare is the place for you.

The private, solar heated swimming pool is perfect for cooling off on hot summer days, or for the more energetic for swimming lengths! The pool is surrounded by patio and has lawn area and flower beds close by. Behind the pool you will find a bougainvilla covered gazebo. perfect for a shady siesta or evening aperitivi. Relax with a glass of wine, star-gazing on balmy summer nights. There is an outside bar near the gazebo and swimming pool. The lemon tree will provide freshly picked lemons for your G&T or freshly made lemonade for the children!. Other fruit trees provide freshly picked fruit subject to seasonal variations. Local markets mean you can always get the freshest produce.

The Puglia Chef is on hand too, to provide catered meals - traditional Pugliese style - if required (additional costs apply).

An extensive library of English books, CDs, videos and DVDs, together with jigsaw puzzles and board games are provided for your entertainment. Casa Mare has all the home entertainment facilities you might require, including large flat screen TV, tv programmes and films available via media server, DVD player.

All the bedrooms are full-size spacious rooms, one, with ensuite bathroom, has a super-king bed (or twin beds) and one single, one with a queen sized bed and one single, and the third with a standard double bed. Also available are 2 baby cots (with bed linen provided) and 1 high-chair. All bedrooms have ample storage and are equipped with hair-dryers.

On your arrival at Casa Mare you will find a Welcome Basket, including specially sourced local products, home made goodies such as lemonade, limoncello, marmalades, chutneys and pickles – there’s always everything you need for a light supper and continental breakfast on your first evening / morning, including a freshly cooked meal from the Puglia Chef. You will be personally welcomed by Bob and Debbie, the English owners. During your stay, Bob and Debbie will be on hand in their apartment beneath the villa, providing a concierge service when you need it, but promise not to intrude on your holiday. As one guest put it “They are there when you need them, invisible when you don’t.” Bob and Debbie are available during your holiday to help in anyway to make your time at Casa Mare special and memorable. They can make restaurant recommendations and reservations for you, provide directions to places you want to visit, arrange boat trips, etc. But rest assured, you will be left in peace to enjoy your holiday at Casa Mare. Before you arrive, if you wish, we can shop for you and stock the kitchen. We can arrange with Val and Mino, from the Puglia Chef, for lunches and dinners to be catered for you if required.

Activities: During your holiday, between relaxing by the pool and sight-seeing, if you want to experience more of the real Puglia we can arrange wine tours, olive oil tours, cookery lesson, artisan and market tours, an introduction to Italian or, if you are feeling more energetic, kite-surfing, wind-surfing, snorkelling, scuba-diving, horse-riding, tennis, golf, bicycle trekking, nature reserve walks. please ask us for more details.

Stressed? Need to Relax?
Feeling jaded, stressed, in need of a holiday? Take a look at our Puglia “Well-being” Week, Available in May, early June and late September to take advantage of the warm sunny weather without it being too hot. Take advantage of this vacation and you will go home feeling refreshed and relaxed.

We will create a tailored package for you whether you want just a little yoga, beach and pool time and pampering or you want something more strenuous. There will be time as well to explore Puglia and our special area, the region of Salento, either independently or as part of one of our Puglia Experience days.

Getting Married?
Are you planning on getting married? Have you chosen your wedding venue yet? If not then you should really consider a Puglia wedding venue, especially in May, June or September. The days will be warm and sunny but not too hot for your special day.

Whether you want to get married in a spectacular palazzo, at Casa Mare, in a masseria or some other Puglia wedding venue, every thing will be arranged for you. From the formalities to the flowers, a relaxing couples spa afternoon and wedding beauty services in the lead up to your wedding. You can take a wine tour before the big day and choose the wines and prosecco, pink or white, for your reception.
