Nestled in the beautiful North GA Mountains only 4 miles from charming downtown Blue Ridge is Chinook Cabin. This charming cabin is well appointed and offers coziness at it's best! It has the perfect setting with wonderful views to help you enjoy time with family, friends or that someone special. We love it when people tell us they consider our home THEIR home away from home and we want you to feel exactly that!
The Chinook interior is furnished with fun "cabiney" decorative bears, deer, fish, and humorous plaques that will keep you smiling. All of our living space is on one level so no worrying with stairs once you are in the cabin! Our fully equipped kitchen has recently been renovated with granite counter tops and stainless slate appliances. Enjoy a home cooked meal at the dining table or at the bar top where 4 bar stools accommodate extra guests, and flows right into the great room. The great room features soaring cathedral ceilings with floor to ceiling mountain views and a gas burning fireplace that starts right up with the flick of a switch. The master suite features vaulted ceilings, a private bathroom, and a king sized bed. The 2nd bedroom also boasts vaulted ceilings, a king sized bed, and a bathroom is just a few steps away. The outside deck looks out over a wonderful mountain view and features a porch swing, rocking chairs, and a hot tub looking at that incredible view, framed by beautiful hardwood trees on either side of the view. On clear days, you can enjoy beautiful moon and sunrises that are sure to please and may just knock your socks off.
Want activities? We got 'em! At Chinook, enjoy sitting on the deck with a great book, take a soak in the hot tub while enjoying the view, swing on the porch with your special someone, play card or board games, put together a puzzle, watch one of our provided DVD/Blu-Ray movies on the flat screen TV, take a hike down our quaint country roads, check out one of the incredible night skies with millions of stars, or just sit and meditate and enjoy the quietness of the surrounding nature.
Chinook is located just about 4 miles south of downtown Blue Ridge, convenient to Hwy 76. Blue Ridge is becoming known for it's charming town full of great restaurants, sought after shopping, vineyards, breweries, and enough activities to keep you entertained your entire stay. About 13 miles south is Ellijay where you can experience numerous festivals, more great restaurants and antique shopping. About 30 miles north is Murphy NC, home of the new Harrah's Casino. We're just a few miles from the Benton MacKaye Trail and various waterfalls, lakes, and rivers if hiking tickles your fancy! As you can see, this location pretty much has it all! Or, maybe you would just like to stay in the cabin, look at the mountains, and enjoy being away from it all. You can have the best of both worlds at Chinook!

Why This Property?
I love getting away to the mountains and I eventually fell in love with the quaint town of Blue Ridge and the incredible variety of restaurants, boutique shopping, a plethora of things to do in the area, and most of all, the local people. So I decided to purchase a vacation cabin I could make my own and share my little piece of heaven with others at a good value.

Then there's the serenity of sitting on the back deck and taking in the view. The coziness of Chinook is unparalleled, the eclectic doo dads, the back deck with the porch swing and rocking chairs all added to the charm. Then there's the serenity of sitting on the back deck and taking in the view. And if you are lucky enough to catch it on the right day, the sunrise can be "knock your socks off beautiful" as well as the moon rise. One of my favorite things is just to sit in the rockers on the back deck in that fresh mountain air on a clear night and see more stars than you can ever imagine. Beautiful!

We have stayed at numerous rentals but Chinook is the best so far! It is extremely clean and the view from the back deck is mesmerizing. There are so many things to do in Blue Ridge and the close by towns that we will definitely be back! The owners are wonderful and very responsive to questions and suggestions. We had a wonderful mini-vacation! Thanks for everything Chris.

Beautiful, delightful, comfortable, convenient, relaxing, fun, and fastidiously clean are just a few of the words we would use to describe Chinook cabin. One thing that was especially import to us: following rotator cuff surgery, and eight months of being comfortable in his recliner, my husband described the beds as "like sleeping on a cloud" and slept well for the first time in months. The beautiful kitchen, the mountain view, the hammock, and the sweet little town of Blue Ridge were all "pluses". So much to see and enjoy! Chinook cabin definitely deserves 5 stars, and we definitely want to come back! Thank you, Chris and Carrie!!!

I have stayed in a lot of cabins, but this one tops them all. Everything the owner told me about the cabin was true. VERY NEAT AND CLEAN, with all the comforts of a 5 star hotel. The nights we stayed were perfect, open view of the sky and a full moon to enjoy while out on the open deck. Very close to the quaint towns of Blue Ridge and Ellijay. I recommend to all family and friends. Hopefully to return as soon as possible. Thanks for letting us share your cabin!

My husband and I spent our honeymoon at this cabin. The owners were so detailed oriented and the communication couldn't have been better. When we walked in, there was a balloon that said congratulations and a basket of fruit as well as a bottle of champagne and a card! I couldn't believe it! The cleaning staff left a card, a bottle of wine, and popcorn. We were stunned! The cabin was so clean and everything we needed was there. The view was amazing and the first night we were there, we had a bear on the back porch! How exciting!!! We will be back again for our anniversary! I have no complaints whatsoever!

Cabin was as good as advertised and then some and location is perfect: far enough off the main highway that it feels remote, but is still a short drive to downtown Blue Ridge. Chris was extremely responsive and helpful; the cleaning crew forgot to supply garbage bags, and he had them drop off New ones within hours of us letting him know. Highly recommend.
