I bought Le Shabby Chateau in September 2006 after being recruited to the area as a marketing executive. She was a bit of a wreck having just weathered Hurricane Katrina less than a year earlier. Close to the beach! Did I tell you she was within a couple of blocks of the beach?! Close to booming downtown Gulfport, restaurants, casinos, nightlife, area attractions, New Orleans, and Mobile. The house is quaint, comfortable, and charming. The yard is quiet, private, and in a great neighborhood.

The Main House can be rented alone or with the cottage. Le Shabby Chateau Vacation Home Rental (and the back yard cottage Le Petite Chateau) is located in the heart of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. This beautiful, shabby chic beach home is located in Gulfport, MS just two blocks from the beach (5 minute walk), 10 minutes from Biloxi, and one hour from New Orleans.

The main house (Le Shabby Chateau) sleeps 6 to 8 and has 3 bedrooms, two baths, living, dining, built-in front porch, large patio/carport, back porch/breakfast area. Rates for Le Shabby Chateau are $145 per night plus 12% tax plus $100 cleaning fee from March 1 to August 31. From September 1 to February 28 rates are $119 per night plus 12% tax plus a $100 cleaning fee. A $250 REFUNDABLE Damage Deposit is returned within 7 days of departure pending no damages or missing items.

The adorable back yard cottage (Le Petit Chateau - see listing here: vrbo 653151 ) sleeps one to two persons and has a full bed, full bath, sitting area, and kitchenette with a microwave, toaster oven, portable electric cook tops, small sink, and mini fridge. The yard is private, quiet, and features native palms and plants. Rates are $75 per night (In-Season) plus a 12% tax and a $50 cleaning fee. There is a $100 REFUNDABLE damage deposit that is returned within 7 days of departure pending no damages or missing items. Rates for the small cottage drop to $50 per night during the Off-Season.

If you rent the 3 bedroom/2bath main house (Le Shabby Chateau) with the one bed/full bath cottage (Le Petit Chateau), the rate is $199 per night plus 12% tax plus $150 cleaning fee. There is a $400 REFUNDABLE damage deposit that is returned within 7 days of departure pending no damages or missing items. Off Season Rates for both the house and the cottage are $179 per night.

Le Shabby Chateau (or Le Petit Chateau) is just minutes from the Marine Institute, booming Downtown District, Space Center, Historical Attractions, Casinos, and soooooo much more. Guests can easily walk to the beach and enjoy the fishing pier or waverunner and umbrella rentals. Jones Park is 1/2 block away and features a walking trail and splash pad for the kids. If you're a fitness junkie, then you're in luck! Free gym access is 1/2 block away as well.

Wonderful, delightful restaurants featuring Seafood, Italian, Mexican, Cajun, Coastal, Steak and other sumptuous cuisine is literally less than 5 minutes away from Le Shabby Chateau. You can experience the vitality of the newly-renovated, booming downtown district in Gulfport or mosey along the beach toward Long Beach and Pass Christian and enjoy a beach view while dining.

If you enjoy gaming, Le Shabby Chateau is 3 blocks from Island View Casino and within 20 minutes of 10 other casinos!

Attractions are plentiful and you'll definitely want to 'swim with the dolphins' while visiting the Marine Institute. Or perhaps you'd like to feed an alligator on one of the delightful swamp tours.
