This 3rd floor, air-conditioned apartment has two bedrooms. One has a cosy, king-size bed with memory foam mattress, and the other has two singles with mattress toppers. The beds are dressed with quality linens (100% cotton sheets) and comfortable pillows. The well-equipped kitchen and lounge are open-plan at the front of the house and have patio doors to the front terrace. At the rear the apartment has another large terrace with sun-loungers and swing-seat. It's a real sun-trap in summer from mid-morning through to the afternoon.
When you can tear yourself away from the view or from relaxing in the sun, you may enjoy a short stroll into town, which is only a few minutes’ walk and has a large variety of shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants. You can have the rural feel by the river without being isolated from every-day conveniences!
Anglers are clearly well-catered for being on a river which famous for the size of its carp and catfish. For families with varied interests the area offers many activities- kayaking, boat trips, cycling, hiking, clay-pigeon shooting, birdwatching and lots of sightseeing possibilities. Lazy beach days are still possible as the Costa Dorada is only a 30-minute scenic drive and Port Aventura Theme Park is only 45 minutes away for those that may feel the need for some white-knuckle rides!
"Birds" is one of two apartments collectively known as River Ebro Apartments. Together they could sleep up to 11 people so are an ideal choice for families an group travelling together whilst retaining some personal space. Very much a nature lover with a passion for birds. And I love dogs - especially greyhounds and lurchers.
Also enjoy not-too-strenuous walking in the mountains and I'm learning (pitifully slowly!) how to use a DSLR camera.

Why This Property?
We bought this property on our 3rd day here after falling in love with the "Lands of the Ebro"!
Most Brits that move to Spain and/or take holidays here, tend to go to well-known holiday resorts areas on the coast. We bought this property on our 3rd day here after falling in love with the "Lands of the Ebro"!
Most Brits that move to Spain and/or take holidays here, tend to go to well-known holiday resorts areas on the coast. We knew we wanted somewhere that was more "authentic" where we could immerse ourselves in the culture. This particular property stole our hearts primarily because of its location on the River Ebro. So, although the area was not a known tourist area we decided to buy it, convert it to 3 apartments (one for us to live in and 2 holiday rentals) and attempt to attract walkers, birders, anglers and lovers of "off the tourist track" holidays to our little corner of Catalonia.
Well, we've been here for 11 years now so I guess you can say it worked!

We are right on the riverbank with fantastic views over the Ebro. Town is only 5 mins walk. Mountains in all directions and beaches 30 minutes! What's not to love?
