The Ferienhaus is a townhome which has two large bedrooms upstairs with a queen-size bed in each, a Jack & Jill bathroom with a double vanity and a jetted tub to relax the evening away. The master bedroom has a large window with a beautiful view of the Alpine Village and surrounding mountains and a 26-inch flat screen TV. The second bedroom has a sitting/reading area with a 32-inch flat screen TV. An additional bathroom is located on the main level. There's a laundry room with washer and dryer provided.
While a car is recommended to see all of the sights surrounding Helen, the downtown area is within five-minutes walking distance from the townhouse; however, there is one steep hill when walking back.
We personally greet our guests at the front door upon arrival to show you around and to give you the opportunity to ask any questions. We also provide maps, a travel guide, flyers of local attractions, and local restaurant menus for your convenience.
If you want to be close to all activities in and around Helen this is a great place to stay!

In October we had the pleasure to stay in Gay's and Randy's Ferienhaus in Helen for ten days. The location of the property is in walking distance to downtown Helen, it is just perfect. The property itself is outstanding. It is very, very clean, the kitchen is fully equipped, - dishwasher, toaster, coffeemaker etc. There are more than enough towels in the bathroom for everybody. We stayed two nights at the Ferienhaus and it was fantastic. It was even better than we expected. The house is spotless and exactly what we needed. Gay and Randy were great hosts and very accommodating. It is up the side of the mountain, which was explained to us, so we opted to walk down into town and pay the few bucks to cab back up. We really couldn’t have picked a better location. Thanks again for everything!
A great place to get away! We so enjoyed our stay at The Helen Ferienhaus. The owners of this townhouse provided so many amenities that we felt like we were at home. They really do it right. Way better than a hotel. And there's so much to do - shopping, antiques, zip line, tubing, horseback riding, not to mention the beautiful mountain views. We stayed 3 days and couldn't do it all! Will definitely stay here again!
This lovely townhouse worked perfectly for us. Each of the two upstairs bedrooms had advantages — the back one having a great view overlooking the hillside and the town, and the front one enjoying the morning sun. Because we came In the winter time, we were able to enjoy the electric fireplace in the living room. The back deck overlooking the town below would be a favorite spot during warm weather. Wifi worked perfectly, and the TV was excellent. The kitchen is modern (great side by side fridge and freezer) with everything we needed, including coffee, creamer, and sugar. We enjoyed the town of Helen, and appreciated the tips from Gay and Randy. We especially liked the Sautee Nacoochee cultural and history museum attached to the Folk Pottery Museum, and a hike up the trail to Anna Ruby Falls. Highly recommend this rental.

For the reasons you mentioned--the bedroom view overlooking the hillside and the Alpine Village, enjoying the panoramic view of the surrounding mountains from the spacious deck and the close proximity of the various activities--is why we fell in love with this townhouse. It's a great location for a peaceful and relaxing stay and yet it is a 5-minute walk to downtown Helen. We are glad you found our townhouse comfortable.
