Some trails lead to lovely streams, while others lead to beautiful mountain views, and still others lead into the Pisgah National Forest. Some just choose to rest and enjoy the woods while reading a good book creekside.

My husband and I lived in the Florida Keys, but had been coming up to the mountains each summer to hike. Each time we came up, it seemed like we stayed longer and longer! We began looking for property, thinking that we would like to have a summer home. After a few years, we found a beautiful 22 acre piece of property just outside of the town of Blowing Rock and built a log cabin. We have since t

My husband and I lived in the Florida Keys, but had been coming up to the mountains each summer to hike. Each time we came up, it seemed like we stayed longer and longer! We began looking for property, thinking that we would like to have a summer home. After a few years, we found a beautiful 22 acre piece of property just outside of the town of Blowing Rock and built a log cabin. We have since then moved up here to the nearby city of Lenoir. We love the four seasons and all of the different activities that each season offers. Our cabin is nestled in the woods and gives us a feeling of calm serenity.
