We rented with Mark and Vicki last February for 3 weeks. Perla is lovely and the view is right out of a postcard. We loved the property so much and all the care that goes into keeping the condo in mint condition, we purchased a unit. The lap pool is amazing as are all the staff that attend the condo. Lots of restaurants nearby, very reasonable and the people of Manzanillo are lovely. You will not be disappointed.
You will not find a more beautiful or relaxing vacation home than Perla del Mar. From the moment we arrived we felt like we were living in a postcard. The hosts, Vicky and Mark, along with their daughter were absolutely incredible. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable with the city. We have never felt more satisfied with our choice of vacation spots. The beach at Perla del Mar is stunning and unspoiled with very few people at any time of day. The beautiful soft light brown sand is great for walking or running and provides unmatched scenery to anything we have ever seen before. Within walking distance are numerous restaurants with amazing food at a very reasonable price. The locals are very friendly and we always felt safe whether it was day or night. The units at Perla del Mar are something very special and must be seen to truly be appreciated. It was breathtaking when we opened the door for the first time as we literally looked out to an unobstructed view of the Pacific Ocean. Mark and Vicky have created their own piece of paradise which you have to experience!! Thank you for a truly unforgettable vacation. We will be back!!
On June 18, 2016, a friend and I went to Manzanillo, Mexico and stayed at the Barceló Karmino Palace. The hotel was luxurious and the beach was pristine. The wildlife was amazing; iguanas ran freely around the property. After two days, I decided I wanted to stay in Manzanillo forever! My friend and I went to a local real estate agency. (Remaxx) Two gentlemen were in the office talking with the agent. The agent looked at me and said, "how can I help you?" "I'd like to rent an apartment or condominium in Manzanillo for at least a month. I'd like to be on the beach, and I need internet and satellite television," I replied. The agent asked me to sit down and give him more information. The two gentlemen sat patiently as I explained that I was 53 years old, I 'd be living by myself and I needed a safe place close to shopping and restaurants. Our conversation continued and then the gentleman to my left looked at Jorge, the real estate agent, and said, "what do you think?" At that moment, my life changed forever. The gentleman's name was Mark Wright. He took me to a condominium complex called Perla Del Mar. When we walked into the complex, I couldn't believe my eyes. It was like something out of magazine. He showed me a condo he had available to rent. When he opened the door, I almost fainted. It was amazing. I could see the ocean as soon as we walked in the door. The condo had granite counter tops, cherry wood cabinets and I'm certain all of the furnishings were done by an interior decorator. There was an infinity pool next to my balcony. Could I really live here? Yes! I moved into my new condo on June 27th. I immediately made friends with the staff. I told the ladies, Christie and Betty, that I wanted to learn to cook authentic Mexican food. That afternoon, Christie came to my door and said, "Puedo ensenarte a cocinar." (I can teach you to cook) From that day forth, Christie would come by after she got off work and cook different dishes while I took notes. We became good friends and even though my Spanish and her English were limited, we understood each other perfectly. I could write a novella about my experiences, but I'll sum this review up. Perla Del Mar is "Heaven on Earth." I'm certain God made it possible for me to meet Mark Wright and live in such an incredible environment. Since I've been home, my friends and family have noticed a change in me. I lived in paradise...it was a life changing event.
You won't find more accommodating hosts than Mark and Vicky, founders of the beautiful Perla del Mar condominiums. We have stayed in many accommodations in several countries and this property is one of the finest, from the impressive architecture, to the fine personal details of each unit they own. Pride of ownership is obvious throughout the entire facility. The view and proximity to the beach is great as is the beautiful infinity pool that literally blends with the ocean's horizon. Perla's wonderful staff, which is managed by Carlos, is as attentive and dedicated as anyone could ask for. They also take great pride in the property they look after and helped make our 3 weeks there all the more pleasurable . We met many of the other condo owners and they were gracious and welcoming as well, and we even spent several evenings enjoying their company over drinks or dinner. One of the real attractions of Perla's location is the number of good to excellent restaurants within ten minutes walk. The new restaurant next door had just opened at the end of our stay, but it is a beautiful place and obviously will be another excellent addition to Las Brisas' burgeoning dining spots. A few of our favorites were the Pizzaria across the main street, also Mesas 40 next to the Kiosko (North 2 blocks) and the wonderful food and service at Aroma Resto is easily 4 stars and only 1/2 block from Perla. Other good restaurants within a $5.00 taxi ride include El Vaquero, Godzilla Monster Burgers, and the Oasis Ocean Club at Santiago Beach. All of the "authentico" Mexican food places we tried were good and surprisingly inexpensive. Overall, Manzanillo is truly a Mexican City and we always felt safe and welcome during our walks and little adventures around the area. Due yourself a favor and be sure to ask Carlos to arrange a massage with Vicki who will travel to your suite for an inspirational 60minute massage on your own veranda. One of the day trips we took was to Colima and nearby Comala both rich in history and classic architecture; worth spending a day on. Plenty to see and do in Manzanillo and include a day at Las Hadas Resort and nearby Audiencia Beach. Perla del Mar is a great place to introduce you to this beautiful City and State. Greg & Maryanne
My husband and I booked a "wing it" fare and took a last minute trip to Manzanillo. We found Perla del Mar and we are grateful we did! The place was absolutely beautiful. You will not find a better place to stay. The view was spectacular. The pool was amazing and the condo was perfect and extremely clean. Very close to everything. We walked to several great restaurants. Our hosts, Mark and Vicky were amazing. They made sure we had everything that we needed. They arranged for massages and took us to the market to get some groceries. It was a very relaxing week and we will definitely be coming back!
